The Essence Series is Ernesto Perez Carrillo's everyday production line, built around a simple premise: each release in the series spotlights a different wrapper at a price point that makes the cigars accessible without cutting corners on construction. The Maduro was one of the first two releases in the series alongside the Sumatra, and Ernesto has said it is unlike anything he has done before in a Maduro. The wrapper is a dark Mexican San Andrés over a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan long-leaf filler. Two sizes, 24-count cedar boxes. Medium in body. Made at Casa Carrillo in the Dominican Republic.
