Star of the East Gold takes the name and Oriental character of the original in a significantly different direction. Where the standard blend leads with Latakia at 50% of the mix, the Gold pulls back considerably on the Latakia and pushes the Virginia and Turkish leaf forward instead, making it a Virginia and Oriental blend with Latakia playing a supporting and aromatic role rather than defining the profile. The result is lighter, sweeter, and more approachable than the original, with the Turkish leaf getting room to express its floral and nutty character without competition from heavy smoke. No flavorings. Ribbon cut. Medium in body and strength.
