What makes Commonwealth stand out in the Samuel Gawith catalog is its deliberate simplicity. Most English blends use Orientals alongside the Latakia to add complexity and spice, but Commonwealth skips them entirely, keeping the formula to just two components: heavily steamed Virginias and Cyprus Latakia in roughly equal measure. The result is one of the oldest blends in the Samuel Gawith lineup and one of the most unambiguous expressions of the Latakia and Virginia pairing available. The Latakia leads with smoke, leather, and earth, while the Virginias provide sweetness and depth underneath. Ribbon cut. Medium in strength, full in flavor.
