Nica Rustica Broadleaf

By Drew Estate

Drew Estate opened their Estelí factory in 1998 and the Nica Rustica is their most direct tribute to the city that adopted them. The band carries the image of El Brujito, a figure drawn from the local culture of Estelí where tobacco has been used in ceremonial and medicinal tradition for centuries. The cigar is rolled in the old Cuban style with a pigtail cap and a covered foot, both deliberate choices that reflect the rustic character the name promises. The wrapper is Connecticut Broadleaf grown in the open sun of the Connecticut River Valley, paired with a Mexican San Andrés Negro binder and long-leaf filler from Estelí and Jalapa. Medium to full in body. Made at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua.
