The Estelí Puro is Diesel's first region-specific blend, introduced in September 2020. The premise is straightforward and the execution earns some credit for following through on it: every component comes from A.J. Fernandez's own farms in the Estelí region, which also happens to be where the cigar is rolled. The wrapper is Nicaraguan Habano from the La Lilia farm, named for Fernandez's grandmother. The binder comes from the San José farm, and the filler draws from multiple plots across Estelí including the San Lotano farm. A Nicaraguan puro in the most literal sense, grown and made within a few miles of itself. Three sizes, 20-count boxes. Medium to full in body. Made at Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua.
