The Disciple started as Diesel's first TAA exclusive in 2021, a collaboration between A.J. Fernandez and Justin Andrews, then Diesel's brand manager. It was also Diesel's first lancero since STG repositioned the brand as a brick and mortar line, and the TAA placement was a deliberate statement about that repositioning. The cigar landed well enough that it moved into wider release and eventually expanded to additional sizes beyond the original 7x38 lancero. The blend uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, with Nicaraguan Habano filler from Estelí throughout. Medium to full in body. Made at Tabacalera A.J.
