Red Dot

By Cohiba

The non-Cuban Cohiba brand has been owned by General Cigar in the United States since 1981, and the Red Dot is its flagship blend. The name comes from the red dot in the letter O on the band, a detail that became explicit when the packaging was updated in 2020 to print the words Red Dot directly beneath the Cohiba logo. The blend was the product of five years of development by General Cigar before its release. The wrapper is an African Cameroon leaf, toothy and naturally sweet, over an Indonesian Jember binder and aged Dominican Piloto Cubano long-leaf filler. Rated 91 and 92 by Cigar Aficionado. Medium in body. Made at General Cigar Dominicana in the Dominican Republic.
