Gran Republica

By Bolivar

Simón Bolívar was born in Caracas but spent his life in motion across a continent, leading independence campaigns that eventually freed what is now Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Panama, and Bolivia from Spanish rule. In the early nineteenth century, Colombia and Ecuador formed a single republic under his presidency known as Gran Colombia, or the Gran Republica. Forged Cigar Company built the blend around that history, deliberately sourcing tobacco from Colombia and Ecuador alongside Brazil and Nicaragua to make the geography of the cigar part of the tribute. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano leaf over a Brazilian Arapiraca binder, with long-leaf filler from Colombia, Brazil, and Nicaragua. Released in 2023. Medium to full in body. Made at the HATSA factory in Danlí, Honduras.
