The Hemingway series has been in continuous production since Carlos Fuente Sr. introduced it in 1983, reviving Cuban perfecto shapes his father Arturo had worked with decades earlier. The Short Story Maduro carries the same compact petite perfecto proportions as the natural, with a ring gauge tapering from 42 at the head to 49 at the belly, dressed in a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper in place of the traditional Cameroon. The Broadleaf contributes additional body and a heavier character than the natural version in the same approachable proportion. Released in limited quantities seasonally. Handmade in the Dominican Republic.
