Opus X Oro Oscuro

Oro Oscuro takes the standard OpusX formula and pushes it further into the shadows. Carlos Fuente Jr. hand selects a specific Rosado Oro Oscuro wrapper leaf from the Chateau de la Fuente fields, then subjects it to an extended fermentation and resting period well beyond what the standard OpusX wrapper undergoes, deepening the color into a dark chocolate maduro and concentrating the character underneath. It first appeared quietly at Fuente retailers in late 2015 as a small batch release, catching much of the trade by surprise, and has remained one of the most sought-after entries in the OpusX portfolio since. The wrapper, binder, and filler are all Dominican, grown at Chateau de la Fuente, a full puro construction like the rest of the OpusX line. Full in body, more intensely so than the standard release.
