Matt Booth founded Room101 in 2009 after leaving the Marine Corps, building it simultaneously as a heavy silver jewelry brand in Los Angeles and a cigar company, an unusual combination that turned out to be a coherent identity statement. The Anniversary series started at the 10th year and has run nearly every year since, with each release carrying a new blend rather than revisiting the same one. The logic is deliberate: each cigar is meant to reflect where the brand is at that specific moment rather than where it has been. The 17th Anniversary skips the 16th, which was marked instead by a limited humidor rather than a new blend, making this the first new Anniversary cigar since 2024. A Nicaraguan puro blended once again by A.J. Fernandez. Single size, 6x52 Toro, in 20-count boxes. Limited production. Medium to full in body. Made at Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua.
