Partagas Black Label is the product of a decade of work. Master blender Daniel Nuez and his team spent ten years developing the Medio Tiempo wrapper that defines this cigar, a Cuban-seed leaf harvested only after it has been allowed to age on the stalk roughly fifty percent longer than a standard wrapper leaf. The result is a darker, heavier, and richer leaf that looks like a maduro but is naturally grown to that color without any additional fermentation. Underneath it sits a sun-grown La Vega Especial binder from the Dominican Republic and a filler blend of Nicaraguan Ligero and Dominican Piloto Cubano Ligero, both chosen specifically for the depth and weight they contribute to a blend that was built to be full-bodied from the ground up. Made in the Dominican Republic, the Black Label earned a 90 rating from Cigar Aficionado and was named Best of the Best by Robb Report in 2002. It is the kind of cigar the Partagas name was built on, and it has not changed.
