Brand
La Gloria Cubana
By La Gloria Cubana
The name is a statement of intent. Brand manager John Hakim described the Intención as a deliberate return to what La Gloria Cubana was founded on, specifically the proposition that fuller-bodied cigars should be available at prices that don't require a second thought. The reference point is the La Gloria Cubana Wavell, the cigar credited with helping ignite the first cigar boom, which sold for $2.90. The Intención follows that logic in a different era, priced between six and eight dollars across three sizes. The wrapper is Mexican San Andrés over an Indonesian binder, with filler drawing from four growing regions: Nicaraguan Estelí ligero and viso, Honduran Jamastran viso, and Honduran La Entrada ligero. Three sizes, 20-count boxes. Medium to full in body. Made at STG Estelí in Nicaragua.
