La Aroma de Cuba is a brand built around José Pepin Garcia's work with the San Andrés wrapper, which he was among the first to establish as a serious premium varietal. The original Mi Amor earned a 95 from Cigar Aficionado and the number two Cigar of the Year in 2011. The Reserva followed as a deliberate step up in intensity from that baseline, using a top-priming San Andrés Oscuro leaf that receives more sunlight on the plant and undergoes an extended fermentation before rolling. The wrapper is Mexican San Andrés Oscuro over aged Nicaraguan binder and filler from Garcia family farms. Rated 94 by Cigar Aficionado. Six sizes. Medium to full in body.
