Edicion Especial has been rebuilt once since its 2008 debut. The 2020 version kept the same tobaccos on paper, an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, but Jose "Pepin" Garcia moved to a higher priming leaf on the wrapper and pushed the overall blend toward more strength than the original carried. It earned a 94 rating and a Top 5 Cigar of the Year nod from Cigar Aficionado following its debut. The wrapper is a high priming Ecuadorian Habano leaf, Cuban seed, over a Nicaraguan binder, with long-leaf filler grown on Garcia family estates in Estelí, Jalapa, and Namanji. Six sizes. Medium to full in body. Made at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua.
