Julius Caesar

Julius Newman was born in 1875 in a small Hungarian village, and when his family emigrated to America in 1888, immigration paperwork required him to choose a middle name he didn't have. Stumped, he asked the immigration officer for a suggestion and got Caesar, after the Roman general, but a clerical error along the way turned it into Caeser. That's the name that stuck, and it's the name on the cigar released in 2010 to mark two anniversaries at once, J.C.'s 135th birthday and the company's 115th year in business. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Havana Seed over a Dominican binder, with Caribbean and Central American long filler aged five years. Cigar Aficionado named it a Top 25 Cigar in both 2011 and 2014, and Cigar and Spirits named it their Cigar of the Year in 2017. Multiple sizes, rolled in small batches. Medium to full in body.
