J.C. Newman named these cigars exactly what they are, refusing to dress the concept up as Blender's Best or any softer euphemism. Factory Throwouts are built from Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper leaf that would otherwise go unused, leaves with minor cosmetic imperfections like slight discoloration that keep them out of the company's premium lines despite being structurally identical. The savings from buying that discounted leaf get passed straight to the price tag. Made at J.C. Newman's El Reloj factory in Ybor City, the last operating cigar factory in Tampa, on vintage machines that still require a person at every station to feed leaf and pull finished cigars. The wrapper is Ecuadorian Sungrown over a Dominican binder, with mixed filler from the Caribbean and Central America. Three sizes. Mild to medium in body. Made at J.C. Newman's El Reloj factory in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida.
