The Maduro joined the Diamond Crown Classic line a few years after the original 1995 release, giving smokers who wanted more depth an alternative to the Connecticut Shade wrapper. It shares the same aged Dominican binder and five country filler blend as the standard Classic, with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper taking the place of the shade leaf. The result carries more weight and a deeper, more robust profile while keeping the same construction standards and double fermentation process that define the rest of the line. The wrapper is Connecticut Broadleaf over a Dominican binder, with a blend of five filler tobaccos from the Caribbean and Central America. Multiple sizes. Medium in body. Made at Tabacalera A.
