Deadwood Crazy Alice

By Drew Estate

Deadwood Tobacco Co. takes its name and spirit from the old mining town in the Black Hills of South Dakota, and each cigar in the line is named for one of its fictional inhabitants. Crazy Alice is the most recognized of the bunch, a short piramide with a pigtail cap that makes the shape immediately identifiable on the shelf. Unlike the ACID line, Crazy Alice is not infused. The natural sweetness in the smoke comes from the tobacco itself, primarily the dark oily Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. The result is aromatic in character without the botanical overlay of the ACID products. At 4.5x52, it runs about forty-five minutes. Medium in body. Made at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua.
