Asylum Insidious

By C.L.E.

Every cigar in the Asylum portfolio up to this point had leaned into intensity. The Insidious Connecticut was Tom Lazuka's deliberate departure from that pattern, designed to extend the brand's reach without compromising the quality that had built its reputation. It was the first Asylum cigar to use a Connecticut wrapper and the first to carry a sweetened cap. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade leaf over a Honduran binder and all-Honduran long-leaf filler. The sweetened cap is subtle rather than pronounced, adding a faint finish rather than defining the smoke. Mild in body. Handmade in Honduras.
