The CAO Flathead Speed Shop is a new expression of CAO's best-selling line, built for the smoker who wants the Flathead character without the full strength. The original Flathead earned a 95 rating from Cigar Aficionado and a reputation as one of the boldest box-pressed cigars on the market, inspired by American hot rod culture down to its engine-block packaging and squared-off head. Speed Shop takes that same identity and refines it, dialing back the strength while keeping everything else that made Flathead worth talking about. Rolled at the STG Estelí factory in Nicaragua, it uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder with fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The result is a medium-bodied cigar that still carries the Flathead DNA, built for daily smoking rather than the occasional occasion. It comes in red and white boxes designed to evoke vintage garage culture, and at under twelve dollars across all three sizes, it is one of the more accessible entries in the CAO catalog.
