Americas

By CAO

CAO announced the America on July 4, 2007, part of the brand's World series that builds each blend around tobaccos from a specific region. The patriotic framing extends to the construction: both wrapper leaves are American grown, a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and a Connecticut Shade, spiraled together in a pinstripe barber pole pattern around the cigar. The two leaves provide contrast in both color and character across the smoke. Beneath them sits a Brazilian binder and a filler built entirely from ligero leaf, drawing from Nicaragua, Italy, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. Rated 92 by Cigar Aficionado. Medium to full in body. Made in Honduras.
