Corojo

By Camacho

Camacho was founded in 1961 by Simon Camacho, a Cuban exile who brought Authentic Corojo seeds with him when he left the island and began growing them in Central America. When the Eiroa family acquired the brand in 1995 and moved production to their farms in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras, they continued cultivating that same Corojo lineage, spending decades refining the seed in Honduran soil. The Corojo is the cigar that came from that effort. It is a Honduran puro throughout. The wrapper is a fifth priming Corojo leaf, the uppermost leaves of the plant. The binder is Corojo Ligero and the filler draws from three primings of the same Authentic Corojo. Rated 93 by Cigar Aficionado. Made at the Diadema Cigars de Honduras factory in Danlí, Honduras.
