Avo Uvezian spent his life finding harmony between disparate elements, whether in music or in tobacco. The Syncro series, which takes its name from the musical concept of synchronization, applied that philosophy directly to blending, each entry drawing tobaccos from multiple origins and marrying them into a single expression. Ritmo, the Spanish word for rhythm, is the third entry in the series and the most ambitious in scope. The blend draws from seven countries across two continents. The filler combines tobaccos from Nicaragua, Honduras, Peru, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic. A Mexican binder adds spice and earthiness to the core. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian habano leaf that ties the whole construction together. All vitolas are box pressed. The Ritmo was the first AVO release following Avo Uvezian's death in March 2017 at the age of 91, and carries that weight with it. Produced at the Oettinger Kelner Cigars factory in the Dominican Republic.
