The Hemingway series has been in continuous production since Carlos Fuente Sr. introduced it in 1983, reviving Cuban perfecto shapes his father Arturo had worked with decades earlier. The Untold Story occupies a unique position in the lineup. At 7.5 x 54 it sits between the Classic and the Masterpiece in length while carrying a larger ring gauge than either, and unlike every other standard Hemingway vitola it has never been released with a Cameroon wrapper. The Maduro is the only version that exists. The Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over aged Dominican binder and filler gives this particular perfecto a heavier, richer character than the Cameroon wrapped siblings, and the size demands a serious time commitment. Released in limited quantities seasonally. Handmade in the Dominican Republic.
