The Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente series takes its name from Chateau de la Fuente, the family's private estate in the Dominican Republic where the tobacco is grown and every cigar is aged before being wrapped in the signature cedar sleeve. The Royal Salute is the largest vitola in the Chateau lineup at 7.625 x 54, a Double Corona that demands a patient afternoon and rewards it in full. The natural version is dressed in a Connecticut Shade wrapper, the same thin, silky leaf grown under cloth tents in the Connecticut River Valley that has defined mild premium Dominican cigars for decades. The Shade wrapper contributes a lighter, creamier character than the Sungrown or Maduro variants in the same vitola. Aged Dominican binder and filler. Boxes of ten. Handmade in the Dominican Republic.
