The Hemingway series has been in continuous production since Carlos Fuente Sr. introduced it in 1983, reviving Cuban perfecto shapes his father Arturo had worked with decades earlier. The Work of Art is one of the more visually striking vitolas in the standard lineup, a short wide perfecto at 4.875 x 60 that tapers dramatically from a 60 ring gauge at the belly down to a narrow closed nipple at the foot and a tapered head. It carries the largest ring gauge in the standard Hemingway lineup in one of its shorter lengths, a proportion that concentrates the blend and makes for a deceptively full smoke in a relatively compact cigar. The blend is aged Dominican binder and filler under an African Cameroon wrapper, aged at Chateau Fuente before release. Handmade in the Dominican Republic.
