The Hemingway series has been produced at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in Santiago since 1983, when Carlos Fuente Sr. revived the Cuban perfecto shapes his father Arturo had worked with in the early twentieth century. The Signature Sungrown applies the Hemingway blend to the Grand Corona perfecto at 6 x 46, the middle proportion in the standard lineup, dressed in an Ecuadorian sun grown habano seed wrapper sourced through Oliva Tobacco Company. The sun grown leaf develops darker and fuller than the traditional Cameroon wrapper, contributing additional depth to the same aged Dominican binder and filler that runs through the entire line. Released in limited quantities annually. Handmade in the Dominican Republic.
