The La Validacion Connecticut rounds out the approachable end of the Validacion series, offering the same quality control standard and the same all Nicaraguan core in a wrapper that asks less of the smoker upfront. Like every cigar in the line, it started life under the Casa Fernandez Aganorsa label and carried the identical blend through the company's full transition to the Aganorsa Leaf name. The name itself comes from Paul Palmer, president of Aganorsa Leaf, who used the word validacion to describe the act of genuinely confirming a cigar's quality rather than simply going through the motions of smoking one. The Connecticut swaps the Corojo and Maduro wrappers of its siblings for a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut shade leaf, making it the only cigar in the four wrapper Validacion series that steps outside Nicaragua for its cover leaf. Everything underneath remains consistent with the rest of the line, Nicaraguan binder and long filler tobaccos grown entirely on Aganorsa's own farms across Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa using Cuban seed tobacco and Cuban agricultural methods. It comes in 15-count boxes. For a smoker who wants access to Aganorsa's farm grown Nicaraguan tobacco under a wrapper that eases the entry point, the Connecticut makes that case without apology.
